productivity, dammit

So I'm just sitting here, well, except I'm typing this now, so that means that I'm actually updating my website and not just sitting here, but whatever. Anyway, I'm feeling kind of guilty because I really have a lot of stuff that needs to be done, so in an attempt to nudge myself closer to productivity, I am going to share my to-do list with the internet in the hopes that doing so will make me feel accountable. Plus, I just had this conversation:

jamelah: tell me if this is familiar
jamelah: i feel like i should be doing something, but instead... yeah, just sitting here
Caryn: hahahahah
Caryn: EXACTLY
jamelah: i've been thinking for the past 15 minutes or so that i really need to get up and, uh, do something
Caryn: i have to clean out my closet today
Caryn: but yeah i'm sitting here reading blogs
jamelah: blogs are good
jamelah: i have a lot of things i need to do
jamelah: but yeah
jamelah: not doing them!
jamelah: maybe we should have a contest
Caryn: ok
jamelah: yeah
Caryn: hahahah
jamelah: whoever gets their stuff done first gets a dollar, or something
Caryn: the contest for sitting here?
jamelah: mmmhmm
Caryn: hahahah
Caryn: but i don't even know what i need to do
Caryn: i think we should blog lists
jamelah: i have to put away all my laundry and start some more laundry and it makes me sad
Caryn: and then come back and report our progress in a funny way
Caryn: ack
Caryn: laundry
Caryn: don't even talk to me about that
jamelah: it's neverending

So then I said I was blogging my list, which I wasn't actually doing at the moment I said I was, and I don't know why I said it, but whatever, because I'm doing it now. Here goes.

THINGS I HAVE TO DO TODAY OR ELSE:*
-- ~~sort out, fold and put away laundry that is in the massive pile at foot of bed~~ Check!
-- ~~take laundry that needs to be done to basement~~ Check check!
-- ~~sort~~ and then actually wash and dry clothes Checkity still working on it
-- put clothes away instead of leaving them in a massive pile at foot of bed
-- ~~change sheets~~ Aaaaaand check!
-- put away CDs so that they are not in four massive piles near CD player
-- ~~paint toenails sparkly pink color~~ Okay, I painted them red. Whatever. Details.
-- vacuum
-- take lots of breaks that involve lying on bed and staring at ceiling
